As a manager and trainer in We are Football, you'll come face to face with the latest trends in the world of football, experiencing all the emotional highs and lows of your favorite club. For the first time ever, this modern football manager game also offers a women's football game mode, featuring all the same functionality as well as many unique gameplay elements. To maintain and ensure the highest quality across all game modes, We are Football PC has been developed with experienced football management veterans such as Gerald Kohler, Rolf Langenberg, and Dirk Winter.
WE ARE FOOTBALL focuses on real management tasks. The goal of the game is to build up the club over the long haul, including growing the team, colleagues, infrastructure, fans, and more. As a result, the football players in the game are individual personalities who spin their own stories.
We Are Football is an intriguing attempt to offer another take on the football management genre. The game has a very good match presentation and some solid club-focused mechanics but I am not sure that this is enough to make it a contender. The developers really need to get at least one major league full license (the Bundesliga is probably the most accessible) to draw fans in. An editor that is both faster and easier to use just to engage with names would also help. The football management space needs more options and more innovation. The developers clearly try to focus on the match and the squad interactions while also offering more club-based features for those who want it. I liked the time I spent with We Are Football but it’s unlikely that I will use it to play a ten-year-long Liverpool campaign anytime soon.
We Are Football is an accessible management sim for all skill levels, and whilst it might not be the best out there, it's still a lot of fun.
We Are Football succeeds in carrying over the strengths of the old soccer management games into 2021, but it fails to develop them further.
We Are Football is an immediate managerial experience that has no ambition (and how it could?) to take the throne of the genre, but it may interest football lovers who are looking for a simplified yet smart gameplay.
While they might share the same genre, We Are Football isn’t trying to be the new Football Manager. Winning Streak’s game offers a lighter formula, with some quirks here and there like sabotaging the field lights, but the logic that dictates the outcome of matches feels to unstable, and the lack of official licenses might not be welcome by some.
