Unravel introduces Yarny, a new, lovable and endearing character made from a single thread of yarn, that slowly Unravel PCs as you move. Inspired by the unique and breath-taking environments of Northern Scandinavia, Unravel is a visually stunning, physics-based puzzle platformer. Using his yarn to Swing from tree branch to tree branch or hitch a ride on a flying kite, no feat is too big.
Yarny is brought to life as the representation of the ties that bind loved-ones together. Embark with Yarny on a seemingly larger than life adventure to reconnect the long-lost memories of a family. Told completely without words, experience an exciting and heartfelt story about love, hope and the journey of life.
Unravel is also available on PS4.
Incredibly cute adventure that will inspire, entertain and maybe even touch you. A must-have for the fans of platformers.
With its expressive character and amazing environment depictions, Unravel excels in sending the player through a cascade of positive emotions. From its narrative to its core technical elements the game can only be described as art at its purest form. The perfection of simplicity.
Amazing platformer nearly without any mistakes. Visually stunning, soulful, great, pleasant and with catchy music. Unravel is a pleasure to play no matter your genre preferences.
Beautiful and moving jump & run with puzzles, solid game mechanics and a great hero.
Yarny is one of the most adorable characters among the games that we played recently. Unravel has a beautiful environment but the gameplay mechanics are repeating themselves at the same time.
Most of the time Yarny will be traversing beautiful locales, but you’ll also have to visit a chemical waste dump and a house overflowing with cockroaches (which will tear Yarny apart like a school of piranhas). At moments like these, all charm of the game totally disappears. [Issue#207, p.76]
Unravel looks beautiful, but it's ultra-slick sheen with nothing much to say. Faux-emotional, if you will.
