Thunder Wolves puts gamers in the hot seat of an experienced helicopter group that has survived a flurry of bullets and caused more destruction than the Seventh United State Army. Gamers will embark on a variety of missions including high-risk convoy protection, deploying a commando on fast-moving train or unleashing hell on the battlefield. Choosing from nine different types of helicopters, gamers can play through the campaign to upgrade with additional weapons and defensive tools to create the ultimate aerial hunter.
Thunder Wolves PC will also feature two-player local co-op – one gamer playing as the pilot and another as the gunner – giving gamers a opportunity to establish aerial dominance with a friend.
Thunder Wolves is a great shoot 'em up with a hint of tactical finesse required now and then. It certainly packs quite a bit of bang for your bucks. Grab another controller and a good friend to have even more fun in the co-op multiplayer mode.
Thunder Wolves is a game that knows what it wants to be, and cuts through any of the other filler to give an experience that is as pure as possible.
Thunder Wolves is exactly what it promises to be and nothing more, nothing less. If you are in for some action, by all means give this game a try. But if you want more from your games than single-minded shooting and explosions, then look elsewhere.
Thunder Wolves isn’t so much a wolf as a one-trick pony. And while that one trick – frantic, adrenaline-pumping action served with a healthy dose macho humor and feel-good firepower – is an exceptionally fun trick, it doesn't last long.
That doesn’t mean that the game isn’t worth a try, especially if you were a fan of the 90′s titles it draws inspiration from, but I think the current price tag may be a little high for the amount of gameplay you get.
Thunder Wolves is a good action game inspired by the old school. We love its mission designs and intense action. Unfortunately, it's very simple, and very easy too.
If the technical mediocrity and a short campaign don't shock you, you will find quite a bit to like in Thunder Wolves. In any case, I did. It is a really solid little shoot 'em up with a firm grip on its mechanics. 'Fire and forget' in the truest sense of the word, then.
