The Walking Dead: Michonne - A Telltale Miniseries stars the iconic, blade-wielding character from Robert Kirkman's best-selling comic books. Haunted by her past, and coping with unimaginable loss and regret, the story explores Michonne's absence between issues #126 and #139 of the comic book. Includes access to all three episodes in this all-new miniseries from the award-winning studio, Telltale Games.
Players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group… and what brought her back.
And so, overall, The Walking Dead: Michonne is a worthwhile game to try out.
Despite it lacking the âwow factorâ and extended runtime of the seriesâ other iterations, it is still worth sauntering out to pick up.
A lot of what happened was very predictable; it felt like the game was tricking you into thinking your choices meant something, when really, you werenât doing anything at all.
Itâs great to explore the background of one of the comicâs more popular characters, but doesnât significantly push Telltaleâs games on from their previous highs.
Michonne is just a shadow of the previous The Walking Dead games in terms of both gameplay and story. [07/2016, p.72]
Michonne is terrible in her protagonist role â she is unsociable, cynical and silent. But she is the most mysterious and unusual character from the The Walking Dead. To squeeze player into her skin is a very convenient way to show how she came to such a life. [Issue#210, p.77]
Subsequent episodes of The Walking Dead: Michonne were issued very quickly. This affected the quality of the final product, and the full story can be completed in few hours. The game fails in many ways and makes us more a spectator than a participant in the events.
