The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna follows the narrative of Uriel, Elohim's messenger, as he explores a strange, hidden part of the simulation on a mission of mercy and redemption in an attempt to free the souls of the damned at all costs. This substantial expansion consists of four episodes that take experienced players through some of the most advanced and challenging puzzles yet. The Talos Principle writers Tom Jubert and Jonas Kyratzes have returned to pen the expansion and show players an entirely different side of Elohim's world through a journey to Gehenna filled with new characters and a new society with its own history and philosophy.
Takes the puzzle mechanics of the base game to a whole new level and offers an intriguing side story to boot. With Road to Gehenna, The Talos Principle may just have become the best of its genre. [Sept 2015]
A wonderful expansion. Croteam had the courage to release a game meant for people who actually finished the first game. A brilliant extra campaign, without compromise.
Road to Gehenna is fun, smart, and a great reason to check out The Talos Principle if you haven’t yet.
Road to Gehenna expands the story and provides more of what made its parent game so incredibly playable, providing a welcome return to a lovely but ruined virtual world of puzzle-based first-person action.
Road to Gehenna serves as a fantastic addition to an already-great game.
Gehenna is an extremely interesting environment that’s brought to life by what amounts to being a message board filled with ornery, divisive, and Internet-fluent personalities.
It is hard to judge a game like The Talos Principle:Road to Gehenna , because there is nothing that it does conspicuously wrong. Its biggest sin is that its predecessor didn’t leave any room for improvement. Nor did it give Road to Gehenna a compelling reason to exist.
