Team Indie unites indie video game characters into one play experience. You will play co-op with your own prior runs and bend time to get through puzzles and action sequences. Characters like CommanderVideo from BIT.
TRIP RUNNER or Clunk from Awesomenauts join forces, each one with their unique skill to cooperatively get through the jump ‘n run levels.
Combining many indie games in one sounds great in theory, but the implementation isn't as good as in practice. Although it is a solid platform game, the puzzles and the collaboration between the heroes struggle to maintain the player's interest. At least if someone is inclined to overlook the game's problems, he will have some good moments with it.
Team Indie tries and fails at creating a coherent world for its borrowed characters. It just asks for comparisons to all these other games, and none of them works in its favor. Brightside Games could not digest so many original titles at once.
The activities are interestingly connected, but balancing problems and finicky controls make this platform puzzler a frustrating encounter.
This game is all about manipulating time, which works okay. Unfortunately the level design is not inspiring. It is awesome to play with characters that come from other indie titles, but at the end of the game there are a lot of flaws.
At times it was entirely competent, but frustration was all too prevalent.
Team Indie is a competent platformer with a unique, cute concept. Unfortunately, when put into action, playing as many famous indie characters reveals how good those original games were rather than make you excited to play this one.
