Sparklite is an action-adventure set in the whimsical and ever-changing land of Geodia. Battle foes in top-down action using an arsenal of gadgets, guns, and gear. Explore dangerous corners of the procedurally generated world, take down titans of the mining industry, and harness the power of Sparklite PC.
Sparklite is a fun action adventure game for anyone looking. it is a challenging game and successfully fuses elements from The Legend of Zelda series with roguelite.
When you look at the big picture, Sparklite seems to be a very good game, and it is. The original concept of a Roguelike with a important hub, as in Moonlighter, is well used. It's flawless both technically and gameplay wise, and there's even some exploration. So what more could you ask for? Well, a story that would hold a little more ground, and above all, more content. You're going to have fun on Sparklite, it's inevitable. However, this will not last long and replayability is very low. So given the price, you may want to wait for sales or additional content to let yourself be seduced by this enchanting title.
Sparklite is overflowing with charm, and it is an absolute delight to explore the constantly shifting land of Geodia. While shallow gameplay, a lack of narrative complexity, and a few frustratingly random boss battles hold it back from "must-play" status, there's definitely something here for old-school Zelda and rogue-lite fans alike.
I enjoyed my short time with Sparklite but I’ve been left wanting more. It will be a good fit if you’re after a game to dip in and out of over time, especially on the Switch. Red Blue Games have achieved everything they’ve set out to do. Next time, they should shoot for the stars.
Quotation forthcoming.
I don't derive pleasure from admonishing Sparklite, especially when it expertly establishes a fun, lighthearted vibe, but in this era, games need to do more — and do it better. What especially perplexes me is that it's labeled as having co-op gameplay, but the second player's only ability is to drive a drone around and dig up holes that don't offer a whole lot in terms of treasure. The whole affair felt either rushed or like a product borne from a lack of experience. While the game is not without merit, I definitely can't recommend Sparklite to anyone.
Some innovation or an interesting take on combat, or something more meaningful in the progression of a character with Sparklite as a resource would have helped, but as it stands both are rather bland. It is a shame because, in terms of design, the art and level themes are lovely, but the gameplay looks and feels predictable. Sparklite is certainly a good game, but not great.
