As a Son of Nor, consecrated by the Goddess of the Night, it is up to you to protect the human race against total extinction. While the few remaining humans are cornered in The Edge of a vast desert world, you fight the Sarahul, an enemy from the past. On your journey you discover a labyrinth of ancient tunnels and magical, long forgotten powers that are well guarded by puzzles and traps.
These mysterious structures were left behind by an unknown race thousands of years ago.
Great, innovative mechanics.
For those looking for the most beautiful or moving game ever, whether visually or from a narrative state, move on. For those who are looking for pure action, you're getting a bit warmer but still quite a ways off. If you want a game filled with a mix of puzzles and combat that leans more towards the former, then you're right on the money.
If you are looking for a third person action-adventure with beautiful settings, an original gameplay, a great attention to physics, many powers and elemental spells, Son of Nor could be a good choice. Not everything is successful, but as debut game Stillalive Studios did not disappoint.
Son of Nor has it’s moments of brilliance where its strengths are realized, but ultimately none of its best elements are developed enough to make them feel meaningful for more than a few hours. Nor isn’t bad, but it’s so uninteresting it can hardly claim to be good.
This action-adventure sports some interesting ideas. The execution leaves a lot to be desired though. Technically and mechanically it feels outdated.
Son of Nor has a lot of good ideas, but it's not a good video game. The interactive possibilities with the environment are great and even some puzzles are clever, but this is a game that could have been better.
Son of Nor isn't fun at all, and it just feels like an unfinished game.
