Saints Row IV: Re-Elected + Gat out of Hell find you leaping over buildings, singing songs, fight in a 2D side-scroller, cure cancer, save Santa Claus… all this and more awaits you when you play Saints Row IV: Re-Elected, a special bundle that includes Saints Row IV and all of its' DLC. After saving the world from a terrorist attack the leader of the 3rd Street Saints is elected to become President of the United States. Things go reasonably well for The President until an alien warlord named Zinyak attacks the white house and abducts his entire cabinet.
Now stuck inside a reality bending simulation, the President and the Saints fight to save themselves, Earth, and the entire galaxy.
It maintains its unique fun and the new DLC is a remarkable add, but the remastering is pretty poor, with no real improvements.
It is, at once, a love letter to where it came from and an ultimate advancement of its best ideas into something considerably bigger, more cohesive, and infinitely more fun.
High Value as a package Deal. The Saints are back and kicking some Demon Tail in the DLC Stand Alone Add on.
If you're expecting (or demand) a makeover similar to that seen in last year's Tomb Raider Definitive Edition, though, this is a long way from being that.
If you played the game on PS3 or Xbox 360, we can hardly advise you to open your wallet for Saints Row 4 : Re-Elected + Gat Out of Hell. Even with the large amount of content the game brings, 50 euros is still too much to ask for a GOTY edition without any visual improvements.
As a budget bundle, Saints Row 4: Re-elected and 'Gat out of Hell' is worth considering if you're looking to waste a few weekends before this year's influx of blockbuster releases.
Despite the outrageous plot and bizarre weapons this is a disappointingly mundane expansion beneath all the silliness, and one that addresses none of the parent game’s failings.
