Project Warlock is a first person shooter that fans of Doom, Hexen and Wolfenstein cannot miss. It serves you an exploding cocktail of bullets, spells and monsters. In Project Warlock PC you battle through 60 levels of non stop action packed with bloodthirsty enemies and challenging bosses.
The game offers not just firepower, but perk-based character development, weapon upgrades and unlockable spells system.
While not being an indie games enthusiast myself, I do wholeheartedly recommend this game – both to fans of pixel art aesthetics, and to those who just want to shoot a lot of stuff in an old school FPS. [13/2018, p.68]
In the end though, perhaps what sets apart Project Warlock from the very recent old-school shooter renaissance we’ve been seeing is that outside of inspiration and certain elements it doesn’t look any one thing from the ‘90s. Which in the end makes it special, and something well worth checking out.
Project Warlock is a fast-paced, fun and challenging old-school FPS, with a hint of RPG mechanics.
Project Warlock proudly points to the forefront of the genre and provides players with a nostalgic ride full of weapons of mass destruction and crowds of various hell creatures and other monsters. [Issue#291]
There really isn’t too much to say about Project Warlock because it’s really quite a simple game. There aren’t a ton of bells or whistles, but runnin’ and gunnin’ both feel solid.
Project Warlock is a tastefully designed throwback to an era of classic shooters and teenage escapism, and as one would expect, shooting things in this game is so damn gratifying.
A charming, but monotonous shooter bar any noteworthy elements.
