The Season Pass of the next great RPG from Paradox, the second episode of the award-winning Pillars of Eternity, is now available for purchase. Remember that you need to have a copy of the base game in your Steam library to access all the DLCs that this product provides access to. In total, three DLCs will be launched and this product will give us access to all three as they are launched on the market without the need to purchase any of them individually.
DLC 1 BEAST OF WINTER (July 2018) where we will be able to travel to a strange kingdom, with unique challenges and rewards that we have not seen so far. DLC 2 SEEKER, SLAYER, SURVIVOR (September 2018) Far from the bustling trade routes of the Deadfire Archipelago, Eora's most ambitious warriors gather to compete for divine favor. It will be combat-centric and unlock a new island full of challenges to overcome and explore in search of lost artifacts.
DLC 3 THE FORGOTTEN SANCTUM (November 2018)* In which the great magicians of Eora have come together for a common cause and have approached you, the Observer, for help. Whether you choose to give that aid or subvert their plans will have far-reaching consequences for the future of the Archipelago.
Is it even possible to return to the roots of isometric RPG, and not only find them healthy but create such a wonderful game from them? Obsidian has proved they could do miracles when their hands are not tied. [Issue#252]
Renaming the game to "Baldur’s Torment" may be the easiest way to describe the triumph of spirit, design and scope of this masterpiece made lovingly by Obsidian.
It has so many moving parts that work so incredibly well together with an unbelievably rich history and mythology.
Beautiful and complete, Pillars of Eternity is a captivating game mastered throughout. Despite a lot of text to read and lengthy load times, it stands out as one of the best RPGs of our time.
Pillars of Eternity is an outstanding game. It can be criticized with number of individual issues, but as a whole it works great, almost perfect. I know that all veterans of isometric RPGs will enjoy this game, and I firmly believe that not only them will do so.
Pillars of Eternity is indeed great fun for RPG players young and old, and you don’t need a $2000 beast to play it on either.
Pillars is a title that should make old-schoolers happy while still offering a solid core game, story, and a rich setting for new-schoolers.
