A successful rendition of Supercross, with spectacular visuals and a deep gameplay. Too bad for the performance problems with stutters at the beginning of every race.
Monster Energy Supercross isn’t the best game that we’ve seen from Milestone, but it’s certainly well worth a visit. Despite some problems with the framerate, and issues with the difficulty of play, there’s hours of fun to be had here. That being said, this is a game that demands perseverance. Lesser patient players may find this more frustrating than it’s worth.
Monster Energy Supercross does a lot of things to impress then, but its lacklustre career mode takes a lot of shine out of the proceedings. If you're a fan of the sport you'll find a lot here to like, what with its worthy selection of real world tracks and bikes. And mechanically, it plays rather well too. I'm just not sure how much you'll get out of the title before it no longer excites, despite the presence of a track editor and countless customisation items to unlock. It's undoubtedly the best Supercross game I've ever played, but it still falls short of real greatness.
Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame may not be quite as fulfilling as it was expected to be, but it is still a capable racer that has enough in the tank to provide at least a couple of hours enjoyment at a time.
Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame certainly captures the atmosphere and the essence of the high-adrenaline sport. The arenas are well-crafted reproductions of their real-life counterparts, and out on the track, the bikes and riders look decent. It gets slowed by jarring moments such as strangely routine lag or sometimes frustrating handling and physics. There is a feeling of the game being not quite finished, with a little polishing still needed in places. That all said, when it works, it works well and there is plenty of content to keep players entertained, especially with the advent of community created tracks. In short, it feels one patch shy of being a great racing title.
Monster Energy Supercross - The official video game is a speed title with many game modes but with important technical deficiencies.
Once you get past the steep learning curve in Monster Energy Supercross, you'll find a challenging and fun to play game. The game has solid gameplay, but unfortunately there are quite a few bugs and visual glitches affecting the game.
