You are a prisoner trapped in a strange facility, filled with deadly traps and whispered secrets. At first the facility and its inhabitants all seem like a mystery to you, but soon you begin to understand: Your only chance to survive is to master the Magnet Gun and stay out of harms way. If you make yourself useful they will let you live a little longer, and sooner or later you will get your chance.
As the Warden keeps on telling you: “There is always a way out…”.
Portal meets The Cube in a fun, smart and well designed puzzle game. Graphics are not that good, though, and if you're not into replayability it's a bit on the short side.
A good puzzle game with a poor plot.
Magnetic: Closed Cage is not ashamed of his inspiration on Portal. It might not achieve that "magnetism", engaging the player as much as the work of Valve, but it maintains its good approach till the end.
A competent but completely uninspired physics puzzle game that owes much to its predecessors but never really builds on the concept with ideas of its own.
It’s short and most of the time too easy, but still enjoyable as a snack between larger games. [08/2015, p.76]
Some of Magnetic: Cage Closed’s themes are interesting, but they are tackled more confidently and effectively both in and out of the medium.
Extreme repetition, poor controls, and a barely there story makes this game a dull proposition from start to finish.
