Impulsion is a fast-paced first-person platformer designed to play with your nerves and reflexes! Make your way through 25 levels of increasing difficulty by manipulating physics to your advantage, shooting force fields to slow down or speed yourself up and the environment!.
While Impulsion doesn’t reach the same heights as Portal, it is an enjoyable, fast-paced platformer in it’s own rights. I was always eager for the next challenge and never afraid to fail and learn. While it may not be a long experience, I enjoyed every minute of it.
Although short, the longevity is in its replayability to offer a greater challenge. If you’re a fan of Portal and want another quirky test-chamber 3D-platformer that tests your skills, reflexes and patience, you can’t go wrong with Impulsion.
To truly enjoy this variation on parkour sprinkled with some Portal madness, you need to be a bit of a masochist. If you relish overcoming your weakness and don’t mind dying dozens of times in a single level, you’ll find plenty of fun in Impulsion’s exceptionally fluid, simple yet deep gameplay. [10/2018, p.60]
Impulsion may not be the next coming of first-person platforming, but it is a solid game with good execution and no distractions. Definitely worth a playthrough.
