The driving experience is awesome and together with the gorgeous drifts Hotshot Racing is one of the best arcade racers of this era.

Running at a breathless 60-frames-per-second and with tiny loading times, Hotshot Racing is a slick callback to a much-loved era of racing games made by people who are clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the genre. Older players will get all the references, and newcomers will enjoy a bright, exhilarating game that forgoes modern frills for pure, seamless racing entertainment.

Hotshot Racing (formerly known as Racing Apex) is a great arcade inspired racer that harks back to classic blue sky Sega arcade racing games. What it lacks in depth it more than makes up for in sheer fun. Split screen multiplayer and extra modes serve to make this a more than worthwhile purchase. Get on it.

Hotshot Racing feels like a nice throwback to the arcade era, back when SEGA was dominating with the likes of Daytona USA. The game is clearly retro in its gameplay, and it's quite refreshing to be able to escape the current trend of hardcore sims.

Hotshot Racing is a great retro racing game inspired by the 90's classics like Virtua Racing, Daytona USA or Scud Race with tons of fun, especially in its multiplayer modes, only overshadowed by slightly disappointing AI.

Hotshot Racing brings back memories from Virtua Racing and Ridge Racer. It´s a fast arcade, with a very interesting graphic approach and classic music, but it falls short on game modes, cars and circuits.

An authentic recreation of the best of the Sega arcade racing classics from yesteryear, but sadly lacking in depth due to the simplistic circuits and repetitive gameplay mechanic. Split-screen or online multiplayer is the way to get the best from the game.
