For now, Sapienza is a fabulously strong episode, and one of the series’ greatest hits.

Huge, open and beautiful. Sapienza offers up a different sort of challenge to Paris, and is a promising sign for Hitman's future.

Pleasingly, the menus aren’t troubled with the same frustrating lag that plagued the interface at the launch of the debut episode, and the often horrifically long loading times from Paris have been trimmed.

Episode Two is better than the first, both because its featured level is a more varied, interesting location, and because it eases the uncertainty of the episodic release and sets a precedent for excellence going forward.

This Italian job is another dynamic, and darkly comic, Hitman mission.

A strong and marked improvement over The Showstopper, Sapienza begins to irrefutably prove Io Interactive’s vision for its episodic release model of the latest incarnation of Hitman. Offering an absolute wealth of possibilities, Sapienza is made to be replayed time and again in order to discover every single one of the creative and imaginative murder methods available.
