How far would you go to save your best friend? For Gomo, the answer to this question is clear: To the end of the world and further, if necessary. In exchange for his beloved pet, Gomo PC is supposed to obtain a rare crystal for the alien. This crystal lies well protected in a subterranean mine- getting your hands on this one won't be easy! However, there is no choice, but doing as the alien asks… You want to help Gomo? Then be prepared for a surreal journey packed with challenging puzzles.
Gomo isn't a great example of the genre by any means, but it's nice to look at and a fun little diversion. I found it rather endearing.
It’s short and easy without much variation, but there’s just enough charm and humour in Gomo to make it a worthwhile experience for fans of Machinarium clones.
While presenting several interesting ideas in terms of style, Gomo is not convincing because of an evanescent gameplay and definitely not brilliant selection of puzzles.
Most of its pieces fit tight together, but lasting just one hour and being quite easy, it's not the best option for graphic adventures fans.
Sweet animation and charming character aside, Gomo is a lukewarm experience with an almost nonexistent duration and an irrelevant plot.
Gomo does have some real charm in its simple yet appealing visuals and its strange sense of humour, but it is seriously lacking in the gameplay department.
If given the choice between Gomo and another adventure game, choose the other one.
