The fertile valleys and trade routes of the Middle East have attracted ambitious conquerors since the beginning of recorded history. Now, Europa Universalis IV adds greater depth and more varied possibilities to this crossroads of empires in the new expansion Cradle of Civilization. With new decisions and opportunities tied to the historical development of the region in the early modern era, Cradle of Civilization further enhances the award-winning grand strategy of Europa Universalis IV.
As with all region-focused expansions for Europa Universalis IV, the first question you need to ask is whether you want to play as a nation from said region, because If not, you should look at another expansion instead. However, for those interested in playing as Muslim nations, Cradle of Civilization has plenty of new mechanics, features and events to make it worth your time and money.
With another deep expansion, the team at Paradox delivers yet again. It has never been more fun to play outside of Europe, with the Muslim factions gaining deeper mechanics and new ways to play. Even though the expansion does little outside of the Middle East, the new army professionalism mechanic and merchant options help to deliver an expansion that changes the game for every faction, regardless of religious affiliation.
