Cities: Skylines - Parklife is a playful new expansion, making your city more alive with new amusement parks, nature reserves, city parks and zoos, and giving new life to your empty land with custom parks and gardens. With everything from roller coasters and campsites to flower beds, fountains and flamingos, Parklife adds new ways to play, with the introduction of a new park area tool and level-up features that increase your parks property values, along with five new maps and a ton of assets in play.
What got me excited fast is that unlike your common park area’s you may have experienced previously like in Cities Skylines Green City, Parklife allows you to edit over such areas or wherever you wish, so your chosen theme puts itself in between everything filling in empty spaces already there.
Focusing the DLC on zooming down to street level and getting into the nitty-gritty of placement of pretty much everything in the park was a stroke of genius, and something it will hopefully implement into future DLC releases. In a genre about building a city, it's interesting to get players to come down from the clouds every now and then and really set up something unique to their town, and serves as just another reason why this game is special among others of its ilk.
A solid expansion that doesn't reinvent the game but adds further depth to your dream metropolis.
