Remember that in order to access Battle Brothers content you need to have the original game installed in your Steam library. The 'Northern Warriors' DLC for Battle Brothers expands the game with a northern region with many different startup scenarios to choose from for your mercenary company. In this new DLC we'll face a completely new faction of barbarians, where we'll be able to follow the legend of Ijirok, with new equipment and heroes.
Now we will have new origins available, each of which has special rules that configure the campaign and offer new experiences. We will also have new legendary locations available with two new bosses, which in the event of overcoming them, we will receive fantastic legendary rewards. Â It also introduces a new collection of new Viking and Rus-inspired banners, shields, helmets and armor.
New contracts and events with very varied rewards and much more.
In summary, Warriors of the North is a successful expansion to Battle Brothers in that it is strictly adding on additional options without disrupting the core gameplay in a significant way. Personal taste aside, it’s hard to argue that isn’t what an expansion should be doing at a base level. Just note that outside of some unique Barbarian flavor or Cultists shenanigans, this isn’t offering any fundamental changes to how you are going to play Battle Brothers once the reality of the scenario’s difficulty sets in. For you diehards out there, rejoice in your newfound glory! For those looking to see a little more variance, your mileage may vary depending on what starting scenarios pique your interest.
