Make history as the legendary Master Assassin, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, in Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection, which includes the acclaimed single-player campaigns and single-player add-on content from Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations with enhanced graphics for Xbox One and PlayStation4 system. Live the life of Ezio and learn the ways of the Assassin as he seeks vengeance for the betrayal of his family. Travel through 15th-century Renaissance Italy, including the capital Rome and finally onto 16th-century Constantinople.
Assassin's Creed II - Ezio's saga begins as you fight and explore through the open world of the Italian Renaissance in an era of arts, riches, and murderous conspiracy. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - Journey into Italy's greatest city, Rome. The centre of power, greed, and corruption, as Ezio takes leadership of an entire Brotherhood of Assassins.
Assassin's Creed: Revelations - Two Assassins, one destiny. Embark on Ezio's final adventure as he walks in the footsteps of his great mentor, Altair, on a journey of discovery and revelation in 16th-century Constantinople and the heart of the Ottoman Empire.
Assassins Creed The Ezio Collection is also available on XBox One.
This collection is mostly referred to the ones that haven't tried the games upon their initial release and for them is a great way to discover an era when the Assassin's Creed franchise was revolutionary and its creators were full of inspiration and great ideas, creating a monumental trilogy.
It's been a nice surprise seeing how well these three games hold up, visually and gameplay-wise. If you played them before, though, you won't find anything new, but if you didn't it's a good opportunity to discover this trilogy.
Having the ability to play arguably three of the best games in the Assassin’s Creed universe on a current generation console is brilliant, although don’t expect much of a significant impact in terms of upgrades for gameplay or visuals. Improved upon? Yes. Reinvented and completely remastered? Not really. Still worth the money, though.
The Ezio Collection give us the best of the series, a package that will be enjoyed by the newcomers to the franchise, but maybe it's not the best remasterization for the old fans of the franchise.
Though a muscular and complete offering, it's difficult to believe that with the two of the series most highly regarded entries included in this package, that Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection didn't receive a far better remastering than what we have here. As it is, this trio of Ezio-era titles only boasts limited appeal to those who have already sampled its enduring setting and notable delights.
Despite how much Ezio Auditore da Firenze is showing his age, you can’t help but enjoy yourself as you stab your way through countless Templars. That said, it’s only fun if you already played and enjoyed the games the first time. I can’t imagine taking such a large backwards step in gameplay evolution for those who have only played Black Flag or Syndicate.
It’s a product that just makes me tired. Tired of seeing the games from three years ago on store shelves as if they’re new things. Tired of the amount of effort being pulled from making new games and being poured into re-releasing whatever beloved game publishers think they can squeeze a few more dollars out of. Tired, most of all, that it doesn’t seem like this trend is ending or even slowing down.
