18th century, North America. And now, remastered on the PlayStation 4, we’ve got the game Rogue always deserved to be.
Technically well improved open-world action, with gameplay variety and an intricate story.
One of the most interesting stories in the franchise, which stands afloat, technically speaking, in the current generation. It suffers in comparison with how much AC Origins improved the mechanics.
But at the base of the project there is the same, amazing atmosphere of freedom, exaltation and adventure that was breathed in Black Flag.
Rogue still is very enjoyable, maybe even more than you think, but if you already played it this remaster doesn't offer anything new.
This still shows off one of the deepest characters in franchise history, but came across (and still does) mechanically as old-fashioned.
Even after all my criticisms with the game, the ending was both surprising and fitting.
