Ace Combat 7 is definitely not everyone’s cup of tea — even though its impressive single-player campaign is packed with exciting action, the multiplayer part feels like an afterthought, and the quirky story has way too many cliches.
Uncomplicated but gratifying flying, in scenarios of increasing silliness and therefore likeability.
Easy to master and a campaign full of action movie-worthy missions but the game is let down by frustrating checkpointing and simplistic combat.
