New to this year's episode, players have memories and will show emotion based on the context of the match. With over 600 new emotional reactions, players now respond to pivotal moments on the pitch – bad tackles, missed chances, epic goals - as they would in real life. Refined commentary highlights unique fan reactions, while chants and behaviors will be relevant to country or even your club.
New bench reactions, side line character animations, 10-man goal celebrations, and more will strive to keep you engaged in the story of the match. Your teammates and opponents now recognize what’s happening in the match and will adjust their tactics just like real players.
For one more year FIFA 15 manages to maintain its high standards with a further addition of new animations and even better visuals. However, the same thing cannot be said for the gameplay which remains virtually unchanged from its predecessor.
FIFA 15 is pretty much one of the best football games out there. The Ignite engine works flawlessly and delivers a new quality, and playing with the football became more demanding, fluent and much less predictable. I have played an early version of the game a while ago, and it didn't seem like FIFA 15 was going to be good. But it is. Very much so. "Just one more game" syndrome is present and everyone should fall under its charm.
Over the years, Fifa has increased and improved in becoming an almost perfectly realistic football simulation. The focus on tactical gameplay and duels make the game feel authentic and challenging throughout the different difficulty settings. Only small issues such as poor commentators (in the German version) take from the games quality.
Only in one aspect I would have expected more from Fifa 15, namely in the game modes.
If the team at EA Sports gets the balance right between attack and defence, this game would be near perfect. But as it stands, FIFA 15 feels like a slightly improved version of FIFA 14, a game that itself was near footballing perfection.
A finely tuned game that doesn't need to overhaul anything and offers a gameplay experience without any compromises. [Issue#246]
FIFA 15 still plays decent football, but with the same (increasingly inexcusable) bugs and instabilities of the past few seasons.
