Adding to Vincent’s dilemma, he begins having nightmares that force him to climb for his life… Will he survive the trials and tribulations of love, or fall to temptations?.
Catherine Full Body is an excellent game, regardless of your platform. The story is excellent and takes different directions and places according to the player's decisions. The puzzle is initially simple, but it becomes challenging and addictive as you progress through the game. This is not only a classic of Atlus, but also one of their best titles and it certainly deserves more prominence.
Not only do they add to an already great experience, but they made the game feel fresh. Rin’s introduction to the storyline added a whole new dimension to the already twisted love triangle, while Remix mode did the same for the puzzles. It is a little disappointing, however, that Catherine: Full Body didn’t quite solve the issues its takes on transgender people created in the original. That said, if you haven’t played Catherine before, now’s a great chance to jump on the train. If you have, Catherine: Full Body is certainly worthy of the encore.
Catherine: Full Body is an outstanding title that has a very attractive plot and talks about everyday personal issues. All this with an extraordinary soundtrack and a striking artistic style. We should also highlight the fun that its multiplayer mode offers.
Catherine: Full Body is as much of a joy to play as it ever has been. If you’re wanting to play on a big TV, the PS4 version of the game is the clear way to go, but getting absorbed in the game’s excellent narrative or sinking your teeth into a puzzle is hugely rewarding in handheld mode. You’re not going to regret picking it up on Switch, put it that way.
Catherine Full Body throws you into the most puzzling affair you could ever imagine. This action-adventure puzzle games about the ups and downs of relationships captivate from start to finish thanks to its creative story and it's difficult yet fun puzzles. The only downside is that the camera and the controls are a bit slippery in this Switch version.
The inclusion of all the DLCs, the presence of extra dubbing options and, last but not least, the possibility of using them in a handheld mode, away from prying eyes, make it an essential opportunity.
What can I say but “yikes”...Over the past decade I have largely avoided revisiting Catherine because I knew that it likely had not aged well, and I didn’t really want to spoil the good memories I had of playing the game. My tastes have changed a lot over the years, and while I’ve gained a new appreciation for the incredible puzzle-solving gameplay, I’ve been utterly astounded at just how poorly the story has aged. It’s unfortunate, since the voice acting, visuals, and overall cinematic direction of both cutscenes and gameplay are all excellent. This game is the product of a passionate and talented team. It’s just a shame that their efforts were all in service to writing that is cynical, regressive, outdated, and just plain exhausting.
