Iris and the Giant is also available on PC.
Every aspect of Iris and the Giant is honed to perfection and polished to a blinding sheen. It looks great, it plays great, it has all of the amenities I could ask for in a modern roguelike, and on top of it all, itâs got a touching emotional theme that made the journey more than worthwhile by the end. Iris and the Giant is a masterclass in all aspects, and they just donât come better than this.
Iris and the Giant is an excellent roguelite experience wherever you play it, but the simple presentation and mechanics help it find a fitting home on Switch. Three difficulty modes, the hardest of which is unlocked after completing the main dungeon, two secondary dungeons after the first, and dozens of cards, enemies, and more to unlock give the game some real staying power. The watercolor aesthetic and haunting soundtrack contribute beautifully to the endearing story and satisfying gameplay. Some menu issues and the inability to adjust difficulty level within a save file shouldnât hold back another strong contender for a spot in your Switch library, especially those craving that âone more runâ loving feeling.
