Play through some of the most extraordinary islands and environments in the ONE PIECE story and take on memorable foes.
Choose from some of your favorite characters and take on a vast number of enemies through iconic moments from the One Piece anime. Developed by the masters of the action musou genre, KOEI TECMO GAMES, ONE PIECE Pirate Warriors 4 brings together the excitement from slashing hordes of enemies with the fun and energetic personalities from the One Piece series. Embark on a new pirate warriors adventure.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has the unusual honor of being both one of the best anime-based games and best Warriors games I've ever played. It has its flaws, including the tiresome return of Giant foes and the usual Warriors repetitiveness, but it's a great example of how to reinvigorate something that seems like a tired formula. If you're a One Piece fan or a fan of the Warriors franchise, PW4 is absolutely worth a go. Once you've taken a bite of gum-gum, you won't be able to resist more.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is the best Musou around, and it's also a must buy for all lovers of Eiichiro Oda's opera omnia.
No matter the scale of the fight, the combat system works. Each characterâs unique fighting style is represented so they all feel different to play. Itâs robust enough that Omega Forceâs characteristic style, all about mowing down thousands, feels satisfying even when you go toe-to-toe with a single powerful enemy. Other One Piece games are welcome to try, but Warriors still has the treasure mark firmly painted over it. [Issue #175, p.70]
A rare innovative Musou game, with tons of content but a handful of issues. If you can wrestle the camera into submission, and especially if your One Piece fan, One Piece Pirate Warriors 4 is full of treasure once you dig past its flaws.
One Piece fans will love this game. Although I have not seen a single episode of One Pieceâs anime or read any of the manga, I enjoyed playing it. You donât need to have a vast knowledge of the One Piece lore to enjoy this game, as the main storyline introduces you to the characters and locations within the One Piece universe. Overall, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it if you enjoy Dynasty Warriors-like games.
One Piece fans rejoice, there's a ton here to enjoy. The prospect of getting hands-on as Big Mom, Kaido, and Katakuri then smashing through armies of Samurai on Wano is wonderful. The characters play fantastically, each distinct and diverse, with fantastic realisations of their moves and abilities. The cleaned-up combat system makes for a smoother experience, and many issues have been addressed. That being said, there are some little annoyances that hold it back, such as the key absentees of the roster, and the constantly frustrating camera. For all of its flaws, though, this is a solid Musou title, and a significant step forward beyond Pirate Warriors 3. A must buy for Musou fans. A must buy for One Piece fans. For fans of both an absolute joy.
One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is yet another action heavy entry in the spinoff series that will provide fans of the series with a fun experience for awhile before starting to feel very monotonous as a result of the lack of anything special to set itself apart from other games in the genre.
