The last Final Fantasy for the PlayStation, FINAL FANTASY IX returns to the pure fantasy roots that spawned the series. This latest episode features highly detailed characters, vehicles, and environments, and breathtaking cinema-graphics. The addition of brand new features such as the story-enhancing Active Time Event system and the return of minigames that grant additional gameplay make FINAL FANTASY IX XBOX ONE not only a memorable gaming experience, but also a significant step forward in the series.
One of the best RPGs of all time comes to Xbox One with some improvements. The opportunity to play it also on PC thanks to Play Anywhere must be taken by old school and new players.
Playing this game is a joy, it’s one of the best Final Fantasy’s, one of the best JRPGs, and one of the best games ever. A few bugs and general porting issues aren’t enough to completely dampen my spirits when playing through it again, and thankfully they don’t take away too much from the game.
