Lead the rebellion in an epic rogue-like adventure. Guide your jet-pack equipped post-apocalyptic volunteers through a labyrinthine underground complex by jumping, dodging, and battling against robot minions (and masters) to get to the surface — and bring life back to the scorched Earth.
Fallback is a rogue-like adventure game developed by Endroad. The game is limited in scope and will not take you a ton of time to finish. It is a charming game with a great atmosphere and addictive gameplay. You play a human survivor who is trying to make their way to the surface, fighting robotic guardians that have turned against their makers.
Fallback will have you going back for more as you make your way through its tough but rewarding gauntlet.
For anyone looking for a budget-priced yet satisfying roguelike, however, Fallback is hardly a bad decision. It may be a bit rough around the edges still, but it's still worth a weekend or two of gaming.
Fallback is a funny little twist brought to an old-fashioned genre. With only one difficulty mode, three levels, and characters that all look the same, it can be finished in one evening, but the experience is pleasant. However, we cannot get rid of the impression that it is a prototype for a broader and more ambitious game, or that it was destined to be much larger.
