In 2031, unchecked pollution meant humans could no longer survive on the Earth’s surface. Fortunately, PyroCorp saved the world by building massive underground cities with an army of intelligent robots. Everything was fine - until one day, the robots went bananas and killed all humans.
To avert a public relations and stock market nightmare, PyroCorp rests its final hope on you - the only remaining Good Robot.
If you enjoy twin-stick shooters, rogue-likes, or both, Good Robot is absolutely worth your time and money. It’s quirky and fun, with a dry sense of humour found in the news bulletins that had me laughing out loud whenever I stopped to shop. Do yourself a favour and at the very least, take a quick look at the trailer to see if this game is right for you.
Don’t get me wrong Good Robot is incredible and I’m going to be playing it well after this review but the price in my opinion holds it back a bit. It easily scores 8/10 but would i buy it, with my money.. sadly not.
If you’re looking for another addition to your collection of twin-stick shooters, you might give this a try. But the art design aside this is average throughout. Fun, but average.
Good Robot is a conventional twin stick shooter, with no distinctive traits to help him emerge and arise from the mass. If you are a strong fan of the genre, give it a try and it will provide an solid but just challenge.
Get ready to face hundreds of enemies in this bi-dimensional shooter, which is able to bring some fun, even being as simple as it is.
