Pro Basketball Manager 2016, developed by Umix and Cyanide studios, and published by Cyanide, is a comprehensive basketball management game. It offers to the player the opportunity to become the coach of his favorite basketball team, to manage it in all its ways. It can be about training, player transfers, economy or even objectives and strategies during matches.
Every feature allows the player to make the good choices to lead her team to the summit of the biggest leagues in the world.
Pro Basketball Manager 2016 does a good job improving some key aspects but still lacks in personality and intensity.
Definitely not the greatest sports management game around. Not even close. But it’s more than enough for basket fans, mostly due to its extensive database and the passionate community (that already resolved the “lack of licenses” problem). There’s still a lot of work to be done on actual matches in the game, that’s a given.
Pro Basketball Manager 2016 shows a lot of promise. There are some great ideas built into the game and with some refinements it could be a winner. At a price of $20 it would not be a bad buy, but the series still has a ways to go to become one of the premier management simulators on the market.
