Night time is fun time! After Dark is the first expansion to the hugely popular classic city simulation Cities: Skylines. The game expands on the repertoire of features and customizations designed to enhance the thrill as well as maintain the challenge of the city building experience. Developed by Colossal Order and published Paradox Interactive, the central feature of the latest expansion is to utilize the day and night cycle and alter the approach to managing your city.
Will you construct a bustling city that lives and breathes at night or will your city succumb to the perils and misadventures of the dark hours? You’re only limited by your imagination, so take control, the sky is the limit! Find out what life is like in the city when the sun goes down!.
Its a simple expansion but brings with it several fun features and buildings, making an already great game even better.
To some players it's going to feel like a handful of aesthetic features, but once you use the new mechanics After Dark draws you deeper into making your own little world.
After Dark is a good expansion to a solid game. It does not alter the experience of the core game, but definitely adds to it in various and interesting ways. It is well worth your time and you will spend countless hours in your new 24/7 cities.
Provides nice visuals, new buildings, and some fun options for crafting and managing your city.
Cities: Skylines may have been a dark horse at first, but with After Dark it's now a formidable thoroughbred.
After Dark is a well made expansion to Cities: Skylines. It introduces some eagerly awaited novelties: there are new buildings, new transport solutions, and a night-day cycle (which is really interesting and enriches the gameplay). You can wonder whether this add-on is worth its current price-tag - fans don't need to persuaded but everyone else should wait for a discount.
After Dark won't make you learn the game mechanics anew. It's mostly a collection of models and small, more or less successful improvements. The biggest addition is not the new specializations and building, but the day and night cycle, available for free.
